I painted this a few years ago, long before I decided to take my path as an artist more seriously. It’s one of only two paintings I made around that time, and one I’ve kept very close to me ever since.

It came from a drawing I made after a therapy session, when my therapist asked me to draw as a way of analyzing the subconscious. I drew a girl with an impossibly long neck. My therapist told me it looked like the distance between my head and my heart between everything I was thinking and everything I was actually feeling.
