30x30cm oil on canvas. This painting came from one of the ways I like to work almost like making a collage, taking different things I’m drawn to and bringing them together in the same piece.

I wanted to experiment with flowers, especially orchids, since they’ve always been one of my favorites. I also wanted to try something darker with the background, and I loved how the black changed everything around it, making the flowers and the girl feel softer and almost more alive.

I wanted the whole painting to live somewhere between innocence and darkness feminine, delicate, a little strange.
