This is a self-portrait, but only through my eyes and the emerald.

Eyes have fascinated me since I was a kid I used to draw them everywhere, although somewhere along the way I stopped. I painted this during a time when I felt especially connected to my intuition and spirituality, and became really drawn to the idea of the third eye and decorating that space as something symbolic.

The brushstrokes are loose rather than precise, but somehow I still recognize my own gaze in it. To me, it feels like a portrait of intuition as much as it is a portrait of myself.
