This painting started as nothing more than a small mark on the surface. I was feeling quite blocked at the time, so instead of trying to plan anything, I just kept painting from that first mark and followed whatever came into my mind.

I was experimenting a lot back then, and I think that’s what I still like about this piece. There was no reference and no real destination for it it just slowly became its own little place.
